The courage to change
Chief financial officer

My story

Heidi Grenman has been an entrepreneur for much of her life, has worked in leadership positions, and has always been known for having “many irons in the fire”. She has always been able to do more than others, but somewhere she, too, had her limits. She did not realise where those limits were until she reached a point she herself calls overwork.

Someone else might call it burnout. She understood that there was too much of everything in her life and that, among other things, it was no longer possible to work any more. She needed a complete restart: to stop, get off the wheel, make corrections in her life and then put a new life back together from the valuable pieces that remained. And that is what she did.

Showing up is half the battle

Heidi did not know exactly what that change should be, but she knew she needed someone’s help. Of the options available, the only one that spoke to her was Ingvar Villido’s course. Without knowing exactly what his teaching would give her, she simply signed up for the course and showed up. On the very first day she knew she was in the right place, and the rest is history.

The aha moment did not keep her waiting long – it came when the group began learning the techniques for releasing emotions. That was when Heidi realised that she herself was holding on to everything superfluous and negative in her life. As soon as that realisation came, a second one followed: if she was able to hold on to it herself, she was also able to let go of it herself. After that, she began eagerly practising what she had learned.

Clarity, efficiency, freedom

As she practised, Heidi’s view of life became step by step clearer and more lucid, and so it was now possible to steer her life onto the path she wanted. She carried out a full audit of her life and began systematically removing everything superfluous from it, until only the clearly valuable part remained. Heidi made these fundamental changes in about six months, and as a result she became extremely efficient. She gained plenty of free time for things she had previously lacked time for, and within two years her life changed radically. The part she herself wanted to change did change, and in addition new opportunities came into her life that she had not even dared to dream of before.

Life is a whole

“Today I can say that Practical Consciousness has become more of a way of life than a regular discipline with certain techniques, because using this method has become integrated into my ordinary everyday life. And here I make no distinction between work and private life, because as human beings we do not have several parallel lives, but one single life in which everything is interwoven into a whole – and it is this whole that we need to take care of. Every change you make in one area of life echoes in the others as well. This method makes it possible to create harmony in your life precisely as a whole. You start improving your life at one end, and at the other end things begin to change by themselves, as if by inertia – your whole life becomes simple and flowing,” Heidi describes.

In Class I: CLARITY you get to know your own inner structure – the five-body system – as a map and compass for finding your way in both the inner and the outer world. Better orientation creates clarity, restores your ability to concentrate, and so you achieve balance in every area of life. This is the foundation on which you can begin to change your life step by step, working in more detail on its various sticking points.

In Class II: EMOTIONS you learn to release disturbing emotions that affect your quality of life – in addition to emotions that lead to burnout, also anxiety, worry, depression, anger, the need to achieve and so on. You are able to free yourself from a disturbing emotion instantly and easily. Even more importantly, this process frees you from the grip of ingrained patterns.

In Class I & II you also learn to live in the present moment. You find out how to use consciousness in a practical way, how to be focused and creative in any situation, and you gain the experience of the Actual Self, which is one of the most important cornerstones of your development.

  • Most importantly, you learn to help yourself and take your life into your own hands;
  • You begin to see things clearly and objectively, and become a realist;
  • You gain a natural courage that lets you make the changes and choices you need in life;
  • Your life becomes easier, smoother and more flowing, because you begin removing what is superfluous from it;
  • You become more efficient, because you learn to distinguish the important from the unimportant and to make the right choices. This frees up time for the activities that really matter to you;
  • You know how to turn complexity into simplicity.
