What appealed to me about Practical Consciousness was the promise that by applying the knowledge gained on the courses, you begin to find your way better in your own life and surroundings, become more rational and thereby also more efficient. That was exactly what I was looking for at the time.
As an interior architect, designer and hobby photographer, I have creative work that I really enjoy. New situations, constant idea generation and flexibility go hand in hand with a systematic approach and a tolerance for routine. In my work I also often need good communication skills and the ability to stand up for my ideas.
For some time I had noticed that in projects I got stuck far too often in a maze of indecision or compromises. I spent too much time fiddling, searching for the most ideal solution, and soon after finding one I would start doubting again whether it really was the best. I constantly worked needless overtime, and it wore me out. I was dissatisfied with the situation and with myself, because I did not know where it all came from or what to do about it.
By applying the techniques from the courses, I found the efficiency I had been looking for. But alongside it, and above all, I found a completely new view of my life. I discovered in myself many obstacles collected over a lifetime, in the form of insecurity and a false self-image. I realised that my problem was myself: wanting to move forward, I was figuratively pressing both the accelerator and the brake at the same time. By applying the new knowledge and techniques, I was able to start freeing myself from these obstacles one by one.
Life soon became fluent, and the obstacles that came my way became easy to overcome.
With the Practical Consciousness techniques I also overcame a paralysing fear of public speaking that had held me back since my school years.
I trained as a Practical Consciousness Class I & II teacher so that, through my own experience, I can pass these skills on to others who wish to bring good changes and a freer flow into their lives.
No, definitely not. You can free yourself from the emotions that bother you, and at exactly the pace that suits you. In their place, imperturbability and inner balance begin to arise – not caused by external stimuli, but truly your own.
How does the Practical Consciousness method differ from mindfulness?
The Practical Consciousness method is action-based and goes much further than passive awareness or observation. It gives a person the opportunity to actively change, for example, the aspects of their own character that bother them.
The Practical Consciousness method is thoroughly practical and does not remain dry theory or a one-off event.
Positive changes begin to appear when you put the techniques from the courses to use and keep going with them even after the initial enthusiasm has passed. You change yourself, without outside intervention, safely and through goodwill.

“Before going on the course, I was struggling with disturbing emotions and had gradually started avoiding certain situations that triggered them. I realised that this way I would miss out on many important events and interesting new challenges in my life.
Thanks to the course, it is as if I have a secret key in my pocket that I can use whenever I need it. Just knowing that I have a secret “toolbox” and tricks up my sleeve gives me the confidence to face difficult situations.”

“Previously I had tried various mindfulness approaches without fully adopting any of them. The techniques I learned on the Practical Consciousness course were so simple and so easy to integrate into everyday life that I still use them. It added a great deal to the course that Kai explained the approaches and illustrated the techniques through her own journey and experiences. Today I can say that thanks to the course I cope better with my emotions, and my view of the different sides of life has also become clearer and more positive.”

“After having a child, various fears were unleashed in me and began to paralyse my life and the lives of those close to me. I was looking for a way out of this state, and luckily I had Kai in my life, who invited me to the Practical Consciousness courses. Thanks to this training I found solid ground under my feet to move forward, using the techniques more consciously. Kai’s warm heart, determination and trustworthiness gave me the sense of security to try out the techniques boldly and joyfully. Being right here and now, life regained many of its lost colours.”
