Sincerity and effectiveness in leadership

My story

As a leader, have you felt that on the surface you have everything under control, but inside you can’t quite say the same? You suppress your emotions and try to keep your head above water through sport or your social life? The quality of your close relationships suffers because you take out your accumulated tensions on your dearest ones? How do you break out of this?

At first glance, one could say that Kristo’s career has progressed smoothly and steadily upward. After graduating from secondary school with a silver medal, he knew for certain that he wanted to go on to study business administration. Having started work during his studies, over 11 years in the same company he made a career from warehouse worker all the way up to chairman of the management board. As chance would have it, the field happened to be the import and sale of electrical materials. For a few years he ran another company in the same field, but soon his former employer called him back to lead what had by then become an international company.

Balance wavering

The rapid rise up the career ladder suited Kristo. Faced with each new challenge, he found that he could handle it and maintain his professionalism in any situation. As his responsibility grew, however, he began to notice how keeping things under control at work could throw the rest of his life off balance. He could not show his emotions to colleagues and subordinates, and to keep his balance he pursued hobbies that helped take his mind off things. Sport became a kind of addiction; so did going out at weekends. When the tensions persisted nonetheless, they found an outlet in conflicts with family members or closest friends.

Women often set out on the path of self-development before men, and that was the case with Kristo too. His partner attended a Practical Consciousness course and said it was something that her husband would actually benefit from even more. And as usual, besides his wife’s recommendation, life also had to validate it for his interest to take hold and for him to really undertake the journey. Seeing Ingvar Villido on a TV show, Kristo immediately recognised that this man knew what he was talking about. Coming to the course coincided for him with the time he was founding his own company, and so it helped bring out even more clearly the weak spots he had developed as a leader.

What problems do you have to face as A leader?

  • inability to trust team members
  • the need to control everything
  • learned manipulation as a management technique
  • pressure to maintain stability and calm, suppression of emotions
  • constantly wearing a mask, lack of sincerity
  • taking out accumulated tensions on loved ones

When founding his own company, Kristo felt for a moment that he had freed himself from the old patterns and problems that had accompanied him as the head of a large company. The momentary relief was short-lived, however, as less than a year later he began to see that he was facing exactly the same problems as before. Fortunately, by then he had already begun to find his way in his inner world and started to understand that the root of the problems might lie within himself. In his own reactions, patterns, automatisms. He no longer looked for solutions outside, but started working on himself. And he saw how this also brought about changes everywhere else.

As a top executive, you have to be available everywhere and at all times:

What do you learn in Practical Consciousness Class I & II?

In Class I: CLARITY you learn about your inner structure, the five-body system, as a map and compass for navigating both your inner and outer world. You gain clarity and achieve balance and focus in every area of life. As a leader, the ability to distinguish your true self from your thoughts and emotions is invaluable.

In Class II: EMOTIONS you learn to release the emotions that diminish your quality of life – anxiety, sadness, anger, and so on. You are able to release a disturbing emotion instantly and easily. After some practice, you can release an emotion, for example, right there in a meeting at the moment it arises.

In Class I & II you also learn to live in the present moment. You find out how to use consciousness in a practical way and to be focused and creative in any situation.

Practice makes perfect

Knowledge can be acquired quickly in the courses, and the further you get in your studies, the more easily you can notice your own – and others’ – emotions and thoughts in any situation. Kristo saw for himself that theory alone is not enough and the techniques need to be practised. He saw results from the first techniques immediately, but with the more difficult techniques he felt for a long time that they weren’t working and he wasn’t reaching the desired result. Being a persistent person, however, he did not give up – on the contrary, he did the techniques regularly every day until he began to achieve the results he wanted. Today he releases emotions in any situation – whether behind the wheel or in the middle of a meeting – and has achieved an effectiveness and sincerity beyond comparison with before.

What is different after the course?

  • you are able to release emotions on the go, at the moment they arise, rather than suppressing them
  • you no longer feel the need to control everything
  • the need to manipulate people disappears
  • you can separate important information from unimportant in an instant and make decisions based on it
  • you drop the mask and reach an inner sincerity that is reflected in the quality of your work relationships
  • you no longer take work thoughts home with you

How is this different from conventional leadership trainings?

Most trainings and courses produce short-term results: immediately afterwards motivation and effectiveness may increase, but after a while the situation is back to what it was. Practical Consciousness differs in that change does not come from applying some new method or tool, but from within yourself – and it allows each employee to eliminate from their life precisely the obstacles they are facing. Also, the more people in a team who can notice and deal with their reactions, emotions and thoughts, the more harmonious the atmosphere in the whole team. People no longer take home the tensions accumulated at work and are able to be present for their loved ones as well.
